About the Artist
Art has been woven into my life since childhood, when I spent countless hours in art camps, private lessons, and happily creating anything my imagination could dream up. That early spark grew into a lifelong passion for making, teaching, and exploring the many ways art connects people.
I earned my Undergraduate degree in K–12 Art Education and Ceramics from East Carolina University and continued my studies at La Meridiana, the International School of Ceramics in Certaldo, Italy. I later completed my Master’s Degree in Professional Studies at MICA’s Business of Art and Design program, where I gained the skills to build and sustain my own creative business.
My ceramics practice is deeply rooted in nature. I draw inspiration from organic textures, subtle rhythms, and the calm, grounding qualities found outdoors. Each piece I create—functional or sculptural—reflects a blend of simplicity, movement, and the natural world.
With over a decade of experience in both art and special education, I bring patience, compassion, and a belief in individual expression to every class and workshop I teach. I currently teach ceramics at the Cary Arts Center, where I enjoy fostering creativity in others and sharing the craft I love.
Originally from New Jersey, I now call North Carolina home, and the landscape here continues to influence and inspire my work each day.
